Privacy Policy
Lastimer is built by one person and designed to ask for as little about you as possible. This page explains exactly what data is involved when you use the app — and what isn't.
Who runs Lastimer
Lastimer is operated by Oliver Atienza, an individual developer based in the Philippines. Throughout this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Oliver Atienza. "You" means the person using the app.
What we collect
To make the app work, the following data is stored:
- An anonymous account ID. When you first open Lastimer, Firebase Authentication generates a random, non-personal identifier so your data has somewhere to live. By itself, this ID is not tied to your name, email, or phone number.
- Your name and email — only if you choose to sign in. Lastimer is fully usable without an account. If you decide to sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In (e.g. to back up your data or use it on another device), we receive your name and email address from that provider and link them to your existing anonymous account ID. With Sign in with Apple, you can choose to share a private relay email — in that case we only ever see the relay address, not your real one. We do not store passwords; sign-in is handled by Apple or Google.
- The actions you create. The names, colors, grouping, and settings you choose for the things you track.
- Your action history. Timestamps for each time you log an action, plus any optional notes you attach.
- App preferences. Your settings (notifications on/off, widget layout, etc.).
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active Lastimer Pro entitlement, managed via RevenueCat.
What we don't collect
- We never ask for your phone number or precise location.
- We don't ask for your name or email unless you choose to sign in with Apple or Google. Even then, you can use Apple's private relay email so we never see your real address.
- We don't store passwords. Sign-in is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
- We don't track your activity across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use behavioral analytics inside the app.
How your data is stored
Your actions, history, and settings are stored in Google Firestore (Firebase) under your account ID. If you have signed in, your name and email are also stored on the Firebase Authentication side and linked to that account. All data is held on Google Cloud infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS).
Service providers
A few third-party services are required to run the app. Each one only sees the data needed to do its job:
- Firebase (Google). Authentication (anonymous, Sign in with Apple, or Google) and Firestore storage for your actions and history. Firebase Privacy.
- Sign in with Apple. Used only if you choose to sign in with Apple. Provides us with your name (first time only, if you allow it) and email address (real or Apple's private relay). Apple Sign-In Privacy.
- Google Sign-In. Used only if you choose to sign in with Google. Provides us with your name, email address, and profile photo URL. Google Privacy.
- RevenueCat. Manages Lastimer Pro subscriptions. Receives your account ID and subscription state from the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat Privacy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play. Process subscription payments. We never see your card details.
- Google AdMob. Free users see occasional ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and basic device information per Google's policies. Google Ads Privacy. Lastimer Pro removes ads.
Notifications
Lastimer can send you optional reminders when something you care about hasn't happened in a while. These are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent through a server and we do not see when or whether they fire. You can turn them off any time in the app or in your device settings.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Export your data. Settings → Export gives you a CSV or JSON file of your actions and history.
- Delete your account and all data. Settings → Delete account permanently removes your account (anonymous or signed-in), your name and email if any, and everything stored under it. This is immediate and irreversible.
- Email us. If anything here is unclear or you want a manual deletion, write to oliatienza@gmail.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account exists. If you delete the account, the data is removed from Firestore shortly after. Backups, if any, are rotated out within 30 days.
Children
Lastimer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you'd like the data removed, contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, the "Last updated" date at the top will change and a notice may appear in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
